michellezm says: I am stunned by the inhumanity of these people. When I was attacked by a knife-wielding man in my home, all my neighbours, upon hearing my screams, responded and my relief was indescribable. This poor woman. Her faith in humanity must be shattered. The lesson learned from your neighbors saving your life was that you are responsible for making your life even more purposeful and worthy of that sacrifice Michellezm. I think you have been living a life with purpose. Clip on baby girl. You will never know, Debbyski, how much your words have touched me. Thank you so very much! I seconded Debbyski. You have more to offer than you realize. For me first would come the call for police then i'd kick the living sh*t out of the attacker. How can anyone let something like this happen. It's almost the same for the starving children in poorer countries, we all just watch it on tv, show a little sympathy, then switched the channel. We just let it all happen. Thank you so very much!No worries, no worries at all darlin Nobody wants to get involved is the prevailing attitude. Michellezm, you must be a very good person to have your neighbors take risks to help you. I would come to your aid! @kkapricorn. Not sure that would be the reason they came to my aid, but rather through a sense of communal responsibility. We tend to look out for each other. I was simply so grateful. What I don't understand is how it is possible for someone to be attacked and so many people remain unmoved and indifferent. That is truly terrifying. It's like the incident of a woman dying of stab wounds on a supermarket floor while shoppers stepped over her body and carried on as normal. I am dumbfounded by their apathy. @Skwirl. Aah, you are so sweet. Thank you so much for saying that. |
