<P><IMG width="270" height="178" class="postimg right" src="http://kotaku.com/assets/resources/2007/06/legendary.jpg" alt="legendary.jpg" /></p> <P><A href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/oh-no/diablo-the-movie-269605.php">Word</A> has it that developer <A href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/blizzard/" title="Posts tagged as blizzard" class="tagautolink">Blizzard</A> has given the "ok" to a <I><A href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/diablo/" title="Posts tagged as diablo" class="tagautolink">Diablo</A></I> film adaptation. <A href="http://www.legendarypictures.com/index.php">Legendary Pictures</A> (<I>Batman Begins</I>, <I>300</I>) listed a <I>Diablo</I> flick as "in development." It has since been removed, but Legendary's <I><A href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/world-of-warcraft/" title="Posts tagged as world of warcraft" class="tagautolink">World of Warcraft</A></I> movie is still listed as "in development." Legendary Pictures has a close relationship with Blizzard and is apparently creating a motion picture based on the entire <I>Warcraft</I> franchise and not just the <A href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/mmorpg/" title="Posts tagged as mmorpg" class="tagautolink">MMORPG</A> as suggested by the movie company's webpage. When contacted about the unannounced <I>Diablo</I> movie, Blizzard said it had "no comment to make on this."
