Season with salt and pepper and set aside.</p> <P>In a bowl mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and cheese. In a separate bowl mix the milk and egg together and start pouring it in the flour mixture and mix until everything is well combined.</p> <P>Stir in the onion mixture and ham and mix with a wooden spoon until evenly dispersed.</p> <P>Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until two-thirds full and bake in a preheated oven (170C) for 30-35 minutes or until deep golden and a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
