Such is the stuff that dreams are made of!

If it is ever found, I doubt that it will be found in the way it has been romanticised in fiction, the ancient texts, whether they are early science fiction or based in historical fact indicate that Atlantis was in fact not a nation or continent but instead, an empire with global reach and influence, much like the Roman empire was.
Which would actually explain why every few years or so at differing location around the world some archaeologist claims to have discovered it.
