I have said before here that I do not understand why some supporters of religion think this phrase is so profound. It actually seems more insulting to religious people, implying that their faith just boils down to coping with the fear of death. If there are no atheists in foxholes, what about in Concentration Camps? You can't say that times of crisis always bring out faith in people. Of course, they still keep on saying it... |
