"The sermon was based on what he claimed was a well-known fact, that there were no Atheists in foxholes. I asked Jack what he thought of the sermon afterwards, and he said, 'There's a Chaplain who never visited the front.'" -- Kurt Vonnegut, Hocus Pocus

My response is to the foxholes statement,
So there must not be any theists in hospitals.

I have said before here that I do not understand why some supporters of religion think this phrase is so profound. It actually seems more insulting to religious people, implying that their faith just boils down to coping with the fear of death.

If there are no atheists in foxholes, what about in Concentration Camps?

You can't say that times of crisis always bring out faith in people. Of course, they still keep on saying it...
