When I broke the the very top end and surrounding bone of my right arm (actually it was shattered like an egg shell) the Dr.s opted to keep my arm immobilized by strapping it to my side rather than a cast. It was much better because I could clean myself better. It would have been much better if They could have just fixed it with an injection.
