I just happened to read that edition of PC Magazine (the Zinio eZine version), and, always checking to see if there is any innovative or particularly useful software that I might benefit from, saw the article about clipmark, and thought hmmmm... this sounds pretty interesting. Came out here immediately to check it out, and was definitely wowed. I have to tell you, I think this this is absolutely GREAT! What a great addition to the web this is!! Very curious about how it all is done, what stumbling blocks you had to overcome to get it functioning, etc, and would love to read a bit about the development history sometime. But.... that curiousity is beside the point. ... Thanks FortunateOne (great username)!! As many people on this site can attest to, we greatly appreciate...and in some ways thrive on...that type of feedback. I'd be lying if i said that creating clipmarks has been quick, easy or smoothe for us. It hasn't. What has kept us going is: (1) our undying belief that the web, and therefore the world, will one day be better because of it and (2) the incredible passion and energy of our users. To make a way too long story short, it started with me and djkraz. we sort of, kind of, almost built a prototype that was ok. To be totally clear, djkraz built it totally by himself (i don't write code at... Yes... I echo Mr. Gs words... welcome to a great community! (just avoid Kore7 and you should be fine) |
