merrie says: When Phillips' crew heard the news aboard their ship in the port of Mombasa, they placed an American flag over the rail of the top of the Maersk Alabama and whistled and pumped their fists in the air. Crew fired a bright red flare into the sky from the ship. A government official and others in Somali with knowledge of the situation had reported hours earlier that negotiations for Phillips' release had broken down. Good News! This should throw down the gauntlet to the roving gangsters at sea. Pirate #4 awaiting having his maranda rights read to him and a court appointed attorney consultation. What great news!!!!! I've been waiting days to hear this. Thank you US Navy and congratulations Capt. Phillips for your bravery and fortitude. A good ending to a beautiful and blessed Easter Day. Wow, I missed the entire rescue. Our local Fox News station was holding an Easter egg hunt for handicapped children at the park across the street from me. It started 2 hours late after several atheists blocked the road. Some of them were holding signs that said "If Jesus returns, kill him again." You'd think they would have the courtesy to let a group of parents push kids around in wheelchairs for an egg hunt that happens once a year. And that was only the beginning of the insanity. I wish you and yours a Happy Easter celebration. A wonderful easter present to his family, god bless them all and I hope they hang the 4th b---ard! I hope they hang the 4th b---ard! Indeed, Phillips was the good shepherd protecting his flock and the SEALS are also heroes. From the comments on the news regarding the Phillips family, they would probably oppose hanging or the death penalty, but I believe that would be a strong deterrent for future attacks. |
