I LOL'd at considerable length. As the author of Celebrating Failure (www.celebratingfailure.com) you have thoughtfully given the ultimate example where you don't have a chance to learn from a failed attempt at stopping the meteor, and getting it right for the second meteor hurtling toward us. Fortunately our first mistakes most often lead to a much needed second chance to get it right. Especially fortunate for me. I am learning Celebrating Failure is more popular in prisons then it is with doctors. Sad because doctors need to embrace failure, like experimenting with telling patients they need to cut back on calories and increase their activity levels. |
