Very likely. Chilling, isn't it? Obama WOULD NOT be the Dem's pick if he were white. People support him because they are afraid of being a racist, when in fact they are doing the very thing they were trying not to do. WV would refute that ridiculous theory. Obama WOULD NOT be the Dem's pick if he were whiteI don't even support Obama, but that theory is ridiculous. On the flipside, would Palin be the VP nominee if she were a man? In your logic, would Condi Rice and Colin Powell have served in this adm. were they NOT black? And wouldn't either of them have been a better choice for the republican VP? It would have made much more sense if they were. Another statement I have heard often lately is that if Palin herself were a black woman, with only a journalism degree, five kids from 19yrs. to 18mnths., one a pregnant unwed teenager, she would not even be a blip on the republican radar, let alone a plausible choice to be next in line for the presidency. I highly doubt it. This came from a friend. Food for thought! We may be witnessing the first time that we get over the race issue. How many men grew up with Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan as their idols. How many women tune into Oprah these days. Why does the gallery follow Tiger. Heck, Bobby Jindal was elected governor of Louisiana. We are on the cusp of great change. Hopefully we cross it. |
