Clip-on-tie, that is complete ignorance, right from word one. Having the US president give a speech with the symbols of a religion present is the first step toward the US becoming a Theocracy. There is no official religion of the US, and that is how it should stay. Demonstrations of his own spirituality are not a reflection on the country.

If he didn't want to be pictured with a religious symbol, then he shouldn't schedule a speech in a location that contains religious symbols.

BTW, being pictured with a religious symbol is NOT an establishment of religion and does NOT move us anywhere near being a theocracy.

It does link the US with Theocracy in many people's eyes, n2sooners. And if he avoided any places with religious symbols, then he wouldn't be able to go to any University in the country.
