I can see why they would want to send her home, though. She is probably more trouble than they want to deal with (esp. for such a short sentence). They are giving her special treatment in jail and now they probably don't want to deal with it.

I think she earned her jail time, but I also feel pity for her. She is probably very scared; I know I would be. Her privilege hasn't really prepared her.
