Here they are talking about suicidal thoughts, but I think this could also explain the "different" students who have committed the school shootings.

I went through a really horrible time in my early to mid teen years. When I look back on that time now I honestly don`t know how I survived them at all. Today there is help and hope for children like that. I hope they get it.
