The officers in question could easily have controlled the situation without the use of these toys, and that to them (the officers) is exactly what they were, and had to be tried out at the earliest opportunity.

The death count in the USA for example as a result of Taser use is in the 100's

	  The video of the tasering and death of Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver International Airport has now been released.<P></P><a href="http://ondemand.streamtheworld.com/dmanager/players/genericEmbedSingle.swf" class="abp-objtab-06474119707138128 visible ontop" title="Block this object with Adblock Plus"></a> <P>The tape shows Dziekanski clearly agitated, pacing and sweating behind a glass security door.</P><P>He is shown trying to communicate with passengers on the other side.</P><P>Dziekanski picks up a computer keyboard and throws it to the floor; a short time later he also picks up a small table and throws that against a glass window.</P><P>Later four RCMP officers arrive and approach Dziekanski. </P><P>He is not showing any quick forward movements---he walks away from the officers and is then tasered once, falling to the ground. He is seen struggling and is heard moaning and yelling.</P><P>He is tasered a second time. </P><P>The four officers then hold him to the ground until he stops struggling.</P><P>Dziekanski's body lies motionless on the airport floor.
