The article talks about the history of the flat earth idea (it's modern; it's only been around a few hundred years). well, learning something new everyday. I should not be so disturbed by this probably... and still, faith is an invaluable asset. Give the man a mountain, have him climb it and then tell him to look at the horizon. End of story. Flat Earth? Woah... Don't tell NASA. Help me out on this. Let's pretend the Earth really is flat. What would anyone have to gain by getting people to believe the Earth is round? How could a government conspiracy about a round Earth benefit the government? I'm confident there are some members among our regular commenters. Of course the Earth is flat. It is called the theory of gravity for a reason, it's only a theory. Scientists cannot even explain how and why gravity exists - thus this round Earth concept is ridiculous. I mean anyone on Australia would fall right off without this magical "gravity".
