Makes sense. I say we should stop calling these sites digg like since the voting/commenting seems to have generated its own genre .... so digg started it all, but that doesn't mean others have not improved on the original idea. Sure, I agree that it would be nice to have an actual label for these types of sites, the problem being, there isn't one that's widely accepted--other than "digg-like". "Digg-like" evokes a distinct idea of what exactly the premise is, all in 9 characters as opposed to something like "social voting/commenting site". Don't take this as an attack |
