This community is about 50 miles south of me outside Fairfield Iowa. Home of Maharishi International University. Fairfield hosts an Eco-Fair every year, and has the most homes with solar energy or other green building features in Iowa. Happy to say that my own house will be off the grid by mid July. Yahoo.

Your link did not work so I had to look it up for myself - but I am glad because it is awesome to see! Thanks for sharing the story. I can't wait to see more Eco-villages appear throughout the country. Congrats to your off-the-grid future! I hope someday that my husband and I can do the same.
