We see the ecological fallacy appear here on Clipmarks all the time [1,2,3, 4] usually by people who want to say "conservatives are more/less _____ because red states are ______, liberals are less/more_______ because blue states are ________."

Here is an example of how that logic can result in the WRONG conclusion.

I am not sure what this has to do with the clipping. The person who committed the ecological fallacy was a journalist and the person who exposed it was a political scientist.

The only thing sociology has to do with the clipping is that I, the clipper, study sociology. And this defends Republicans against the claim that they commit vice more often than Democrats. So are you accusing me of being a Republican propagandist? That's a new one.
