There is one guarantee with Palin, if they put her up to run in 2012 then the democrats are assured another win.

And that would be good, because we will have an opportunity for a third party to rise.

as well and apalled even.
But then she's not the only one not knowing that Africa is a continent containing several countries. I can't count how many times I've had arguments with my History/Geaography teachers who would say nonsense like "In countries like Africa where people are very poor..."
and I'd be so infuriated that without even raising my hand I'd go "Excuse me Ma'am/Sir, but last time I checked, Africa was still a pretty big continent with different independent countries in it.. Matter of fact I was there last summer and nobody told me it had become a country.. o_O.." and very often the morons would go "yeah yeah..whatever" which usually would make me angrier so i'd mumble "...

It's got some of the same letters in it as her home country, Alaska. And it begins and ends with the same letter. And it kind of rhymes.Easy mistake to make.

Gasp! A hidden agenda!

It certainly is another illustration of what Republican politics has been about for the last ten years: smear, backbiting, i...

Um.. having completely sociopathic ambition for power is not at ALL incompatible with backstabbing a no-win candidate. It's not like these people have much hope for a future as democrats - and lobbying is not looking much like a career, either.

So, it's like this; either sabotage Palin, or look toward a career in used car sales and small town politics.

I don't know why I have mixed feelings about Palin. It would have been a horror to think of her being elected and like so many others it encouraged us all the more to work for Obama, but...

But, well, I live in a part of the country where people have to "have their act together," a bit and people who do so are admired.

This is because if you get in trouble, car breaks down or something, you're going to have to fix the flat or fix the engine or whatever -- or have to be able to walk ten dusty miles or spend the night outdoors.

This is desert, though, not cold Alaska; but it means a certain 'survival awareness,' so nobody who lives here doesn't carry at least one gallon or more drinking wat...
