jatfla, There you go again trying to protect the real crooks. The insurance companies are crooks. Period.

Insurance that doctors have to buy to protect themselves against frivolous lawsuits is far, far more costly than health insurance. And that cost is passed on to you.

One of major reasons why health care costs have gone up so much is because of what n2sooners mentioned. Once lawyers got involved in suing doctors we all ended up paying more.

This is also the most cited reason for doctors giving up their private practice, which ends up costing us even more.
