Site layout emphasizes social timelines and displaying everyone's data together. Clearly the founders want to build strong community. Oh, my goodness, with sites like this, Big Brother must be clapping his little hands. After all, no need to spend money money on profiling and snooping if you can get people to give up the info all by themselves. I've heard, one in four people will experience identity theft a some point in their lives. Sites like this could potentially be a good source for the data collectors. Just look at the one story in the clip: Moved to Brea, CA Name, address and all. Is this person traceable? I think so. People need to very careful using sites like these. People who prey on children are going to be all over this site too. Use with care. Just my paranoid 2 cents... Good points thisname, though I think Big Brother and identity thieves can probably get all the information they need from credit reports .... |
