masbury says: Guantanamo "often produced more" terrorists. Wrongly detained thugs get tortured, meet radicals, become Taliban recruits. No surprise there. Must have been all that great health care, 3 square meals, mandatory prayer times and soccer fields that set him off. Darn them soldiers keeping them physically fit. Excuse me? These men were tortured! Some have been sent home in disastrous, ruined health, with no comment, and no charge, from the Pentagon. Time to stand up against evil - even if the bad guys are more evil - even if it's our guys who do it. It's one thing to hold enemy combatants captured during war. It's a completely different thing to pick innocent people off the streets (American streets too, don't disillusion yourself) and jail them without any charge. Then they're held indefinitely, tortured, and sent back home with nothing, not even a friggin' apology! Better get used to seeing this here at home America, this is what happens when your president suspends habeus corpus in the name of "national (in)security". Sillysam strikes again...Sweet jeebus, get a brain. Ya know, the whole thing about giving rights to "enemies" is sooo UnAmerikan, right, Sam? I mean we might see them little brown buggers as HUMAN BEINGS and that would be downright left-wingy! Sorry, we (I) should be kinder to Sillysam--I think he's just Willhelm in disguise tryin' to get my Irish temper up. jm, good thought. Seems like what many have failed to understand is that the vast majority of detainees are not combatants of any sort, enemy or otherwise. |
