Yes, people do kill over imaginary countries, ideologies, all sorts of 'worthy causes'. In passing I would note that indirectly the 'social transcendental' relates to the long defunct, dehistoricised, depoliticised 'transcendental ego' of Kant and the implicit assumption of an underlying human nature, hence morality and 'reason, divorced from mere culture. |
