Bein' an old Hippie who did a lot of psychedelic drugs (a long time ago--and I'm alive and well 'cuz I avoided Coke and other dumbass drugs) ...so the value of my "spiritual" experiences may be directly correlated with the types of "divine" chemicals i took like psylocibin, peyote, LSD and the good herb Pakalolo---or as the guy says in the last video--it may be God's way of giving us an antenna towards the Divine and doesn't make the experience any less real or important. Developing a Spiritual consciousness rather than the mundane, everyday patterns of thought is quite important, neh? I find that I can get some of the same results by meditating (if I do it with regularity and depth, losing the "I")...of course it's not as much fun without the colors and stuff but just as meaningful, if not more. But then I didn't use drugs as recreation but was lucky enough to have teachers that showed me their value as sacraments and spiritual tools not a Friday night party drunk. Although I did some of those, too, hahahaha!

I was a musician, in my first career, before I was really interested in spirituality. Yet I think back on the wonder of some of those moments and am convinced that arts, too, are signposts of spiritual reality. They really do take you to another world.
