That said, I'll just get in my flying car, verbally instruct the on-board computer to take me to the local spaceport where I'll take off on the first leg of my lunar vacation. To actually move forward now we have to refuse from many even relatively recent inventions: ball pen, printing press, physical books, newspapers, money, pills, TV, religion, political technologies and so on... Old and obsolete things always obstruct progress and their aggressive defenders sometimes present serious danger for society and even whole world. Snow Crash and diamond age I'm way behind. I just got done with two Heinlein's: Rocketship Galileo and Stranger in a Strange Land. Recommend any others? Another of my favorites, Ender's Game. I'm way behind.
