They have Oreos with red cream centers out for Christmas. I wonder if those would make the color change.

Someone suggested putting a Junior Mint in the middle, but I think using mint Oreos would be better, or maybe peppermint bits?

I am wondering if I should make these for my daughter's Thanksgiving party at school. They problem is after I get finished making all the little balls, I'm burned out and the coating process seems daunting and horrible.

Do you think there is anyway to turn these into little turkeys? You know, without a bunch of effort? LOL.

Hmm...how about using a flower-shaped cookie cutter as a mold for the turkey feathers? Then just use icing to outline the details?

I was thinking of just piping icing in feather shapes onto wax paper and peeling them off once hardened and attaching them to the balls. Still, too much work. Oh fer an assistant!
