I personally beleive; as long as people are showing love to each other, who cares about their sex preferance!

Thanks shaor. If only everyone thought that way. But things are getting better. There's a lot of people out there who are pretty upset about these states allowing Gays to marry there. I guess it will just take some time for them to realize that all their hating and complaining won't change things. I think that if anything, there actions have backfired and most people see their hatefullness and hypocracy and are getting sick and tired of it.

ColoradoRight
The President Messiah of the United States says he doesn't support gay marriage. Religious freedom includes the freedom to believe in what you think is truth. Would you support a school being forced to accomodate bestiality? or polygamy?

Nope - just the current liberla shiboleth - gay rights.

Are you equally as offended when students of religious schools are suspended for inappropriate heterosexual behavior? And are you now saying you DON'T believe in separation of church and state and that religions should now be run by the state?

But what exactly did they get expelled? Holding hands?

I do believe in separation of church and state, which brings the question, does this school take any public funding or gets a tax exempt status?

Not sure what they did, but does it matter? They refuse to tell, and if it was nothing I'm sure that would be in the story, especially considering the source.

As for state funding, I'm sure that would be in the story from this source as well if they were. And are you suggesting a religious organization shouldn't get tax exempt status is you don't approve of their religious beliefs?

I don't think they should get tax exempt status because it amounts to a form of goverment support. Also I think that if they do get money from the state, especially in a capacity which is the state responsibility (education in this case) then they should follow the same laws.

It is not what I like, it was the law demands that is the question.

the freedom to believe in what you think is truth FOR YOU. But NOT for everyone, just you. This means that you cannot impose what may be true for you unto other people.

Really, this seems like a "no brainer" to me. How can anyone be so egotistical as to believe that God talks to them alone and that their way is the only way. I can see this coming maybe from a 6 year old.

That's right. Any Church that expresses a political opinion no matter how slight should not be tax exempt. It's the law and a whole lot of churches are breaking that law. The people who run and support those churches are criminals. Come to think of it, if our government where to collect taxes on these churches, including back taxes, that would get us out of debt, out of the mess we're in and give our children a future. I think I'll write my congressman tomorrow.

But taxing religion would be a form of government intrusion into religion. That would then open the door to the government using taxes in a punitive manner against religious organizations they don't like much like they use them against (and many democrats propose using even more) corporations they don't like. It would also be a case of the government profiting from religion which is quite the opposite of a separation of church and state.

Yet isn't that the entire reason for your clip, to tell other people how to think and that your way is the only way? BTW, would you be as offended if they were expelled for heterosexual activity?

n2sooners, No that is not at all the reason for my clip. My way is NOT the only way. And, Your way is NOT the only way.

Would I be offended if they were expelled for heteosexual activity? If it was the same activity that the Lesbians were expelled for, yes, of course. I would be equally offended or for that matter, equally not offended for whatever the students were expelled for.

You know, I find it hard to believe that you would actually think that I would want to replace your values with my values. But I guess if you've been constantly hearing that that is what Gay people want, then I guess it makes sense. If that's the case, then you've been hearing wrong. Gay people do not want to ...

So you clipped this in support of this private school being free to set their own code of conduct based on their own set of beliefs? Because it seems more to me that you are opposed to this court's decision which means you would rather the court have forced beliefs (which you seem to share) on this school in opposition to their own beliefs.

The reason I clipped this is because I'm opposed to the pain and suffering that self hating people inflict upon myself and the rest of the GLTB community.
