There's a street named after him here and a high school to follow next year.<P>
Now, too, there's a stadium.</P><P>
The Yankees will rename Legends Field, their Spring Training complex for the past 13 years, George M. Steinbrenner Field, according to a statement released by the team on Thursday. Built in 1996 to provide a new Spring Training site for the Yankees, as well as a home for the Class A Tampa Yankees, Legends Field has since become a Florida attraction in its own right.
