It's okay to have brains, BTW, in American politics but what people want to also see is: A fighter! You have to be a fighter to get elected. You have to be tough. You have to take a lot of shots but more importantly, you have to slash and jab and punch away at your opponent and critics.

Obama did that well enough, from the beginning but he's gotten tougher and even better now.

At this stage of the campaign people almost don't even want to hear the (good) ideas anymore. They want to hear: Fight on for four more days my friends and we're going to win!

So Obama doesn't have to be able to talk smart ideas but 'fighting words," as well. And he says things like:

McCain is going down!

We can't take four more years of Bush's failed policies!
Not now, the stakes are too high.

This is our time now! This is the time to get our country back on the right track!

Don't let this historic opportunity pass us by. Get out there and vote! I want your vote! Vote for me! Let's send Silly Sarah back to Alaska and Mac the Same into retirement.

This rallies the crowd. This turns out the vote. If you can't do this, if you don't have this type of passion and spirit, don't apply for the job.
