WTF????? I ADORE Amanda Palmer. She is aesthetically beautiful and she has this wildness and intelligence about her that makes her absolutely stunning in every sense of the word. She takes on subjects with such style that I haven't seen anyone do in a long time. It's not about selling her body and her image; it's about selling her art; it's about what she does.

Amanda Palmer posts about this mess, clarifying some of the details. Basically, she's not been dropped. The label just doesn't have any desire to actually support her. So she's hoping to get out of her contract. I hope that happens for her. Clearly they want a plastic doll to manipulate and mold to their sexual satisfaction. I don't know why they think they'd get that with Amanda, but that's corporate asshattery for you.
