Are you for real?!? If G-d Forbid such a thing happened to which ever nation you are from and the world was saying that it didn't would you even think to ask such a question? If Heavens Forbid your family (great-uncles, aunts, grandparents etc...) were murdered just because they were from a certain nationality, would you expect your friends to allow other people to say that you are making it all up and that it never really happened?!?
Why is there even room for debate whether history happened or not? Meaning I can't come and decide that the American revolutionary war never took place, can I? It's not a matter of opinion!
Not to mention that the people who lived through it are still ...

Not to mention that the people who lived through it are still alive, whether those who survived or those who tortured, how can you leave room for saying maybe it didn't happen and take away the responsibility of those who afflicted? And think of the agony it would be to a person who survived to hear someone saying that it didn't even happen to them!

Of course not. However, let's say it did happen to my nation. or people, would I demand that those without that experience be forced into believing what I believe, because of My experience? Yes, because in order to have a free and open society people with opposing opinions, even though I think them wrong, must be allowed to have those opinions and to question mine. This is the true sign of a tolerant society.

Yes, you can. Does your differing opinion change anything? No. So what does it matter to me if you have it? If history has taught us anything, it is that history is written by the winners and sometimes those winners change things to make themselves look good.

For example: I am of Mexican ancestry, but I live in Texas, I am a Texan. History around here is that Texas fought for its independence against a brutal dictator and because of its love for freedom. My grandmother, who learned her history in Mexico, taught me that the Texians fought for independence, because of a law that Mexico had enacted, at that time, that said "No Mexican citizen can own slaves." The Texians were heavily invested in slave ownership and did not want to take that loss, so they fought. The Texas war for independence was about slave ownership and it is told totally different in Texas than my grandparents wou
