juliapatriciaroy says: Jott is a new service that lets you speak a message into your phone and send it to yourself or friends as a written transcription. Neat. Wow, looks very useful. lordthor, starting right now you're on mute as far as I'm concerned, I don't care what site owners do with your status. It is rumored that GrandCentral.com will be putting this into their service in the near future. It is a cool feature and I use Jott quite a bit, but the problem is that I have to have yet another number and account. With GC integration it will be seamless and part of a wider range of cool services. For now - I will still use Jott. I really wish it would integrate into Rememberthemilk.com though. I have a low voice and the voice-to-text feature has worked very poorly for me. Also, the flash player on their site has been real temperamental. Great concept, tough to execute in a way that really seems to work. enbar - time to change your voice They just came out with a new version that allows to do jotts to groups, as well as particular individuals (and self, if you're feeling lonely). Their transcription service isn't instant and it does use people, but relatively quick and accurate. Personally I wish they'd incorporate it into Google Calendar... although if they did Remember the Milk integration - that would accomplish the same, since Remember the Milk is already capable of working within the Google Calendar. P.S. @enbar - my accent, even though it's slight (according to nice Americans that commented on it), also doesn't help in transcription... so please don't take my comment above as any critique... |
