abailart says: Bastards. And I see none of that going on here. For a person of faith, zeroing in on one or several passages of the Bible for clues about homosexuality is the wrong approach and losing sight of the big picture. All I know is that it makes more sense toThe people at Exodus could start there if they dare. “I still have A class on “True Femininity”, whic... I've spoken to lesbians who married because it was expected and couldn't get through intercourse with their husbands without fantasizing the whole time about being with a woman and how sad it that? I can't imagine having something like that forced upon someone just because they were different. And these women loved their husbands and considered them their best friend. They just couldn't be sexually attracted to them no matter how hard they tried but they gave it their best try. To throw on top of all of this that a person is sinful because they are different is just beyond belief. And the sad part is that many homosexuals leave God because of foolish humans who profess to have knowledge of the character of God. Above is link to clip on ur fascism (eco) mentioned in interview. @abailart I'm curious as to why the "heathens" tag? Gays, lesbians, bisexuals; we are all depressed to a certain degreeDebbyski, it's not only the gays, lesbians and bis that have to deal with this. It's anyone who is made to feel bad for enjoying anything other than, as George Carlin used to put it, "man-on-top-get-it-over-with-quick". Anyone who has spent any amount of time poking arount the internet knows the truth of this quote: “You can point to any item in the Sears catalog and somebody wants to sleep with it.” — Max Gail. Even leaving out the glbt segment of ... Now we are really getting down to the nitty gritty with these folks Jorjor, and that is the male sperm is sacred and it's sole and proper place is inserted into the female vagina for the purpose of uniting with an egg. Anything that differs from, interferes with, or prevents that from happening is unacceptable, and that includes: masturbation, contraception, condoms, coitus interruptus, oral sex, anal sex, sex between two men, and sex between two women. Yes, and we have to find a way to recover all those millions of sperm cells that don't make it to the egg so they don't go to waste. Is there a "homosexual" cure for Christianity? @ boniface. A Heathen is one who is unenelightened, uncivilized, pagan, and does not follow the spirit of the God of Judaeism, Islam or Christianity. I had considered tagging the clip with 'antichrist' but I thought it may offend some heathens. Alan Chambers? A quick word from one Christian to another: Judge not, lest ye be judged. It's not our job to judge whether people should or should not be homosexual. I know what I see, though. In my homosexual friends, I have seen true love; not lust. Love. And God is love; therefore anything that shows true love is a part of God and his plan. Is there a "homosexual" cure for Christianity? "A Heathen is one who is unenelightened, uncivilized, pagan, and doesTrue, a Heathen or Pagan does not follow the god of Judaism, Islam or Christianity, but that does not make them "unenlightened," or "uncivilized." The great civilizations of the past, like the Egyptian, the Greek and Roman, among a host of others, were all Pagan. The great philosophers like Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus, Marcus Aurelius, Lao Tzu, the Buddha, and many more were all Pagan. In the 3rd century BCE, [i]Eratosthenes calcula... No space for a little irony? What I find "ironic" is that no matter how bad the actions of Christians, or how good those of Pagans, people still equate Christian=good, Pagan=bad. It's not Christian that's the problem. Christians are dedicated to doing what is best for everyone. What the problem is religious people. They take Christianity, and twist it onto something evil and selfish, making man-made religious dogma more important than the tennents of Christianity, such as "do onto others as you would have them do onto you." One more time, let's return to the wisdom of Bishop John Shelby Spong in Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism. What he says about Christianity is true for all faiths: A church that calls itself the body of Christ cannot reject or oppress or define pejoratively one who is the recipient of the overwhelming love of God. To do so is to deny Christ. It is to play church. When that occurs, the marks of death are seen in that institution. Those marks are present when the refusal to upset the religious folk becomes a higher priority for the church than the search for truth or the demand for justice. Those marks are present when the church bends to accommodate the racists without he[b]... We sure are a strange species of a creature, there's no telling what to expect from one of us. It's no wonder every other creature on earth runs like hell every time they see one of us coming. Why we think we are so important defies logic. We are so self-consumed, as to think we are our god's image. We really need to look at ourselves and what we do to each other for personal gain, making us the only creature that fundamentally preys on it's own kind. |
