Rioting Drone says: I understand eating disorders. In fact, if I didn't watch how much I ate, I would be a whale of a man. I currently weigh about 210 pounds with about 18 percent body fat (which isn't good, but it isn't too bad either). I am just shy of six foot one. I don't feel I have to loose weight, but I know if I were to eat like i used to (pushed almost 280 @ 25 to 28 percent body fat) I would be putting my self at risk for health problems. I guess moderation is the key. I enjoy the taste of food too much. And I eat when ever I am depressed. One of these is an emotional reaction, one that I can avoid. I guess knowing who you are helps in combating the problems. But then again, I know a crap ton of Americans that could go without eating for a few weeks (and yes I know not eating is just as bad, its just a general statement at the situation of obesity). My daughter worked at a hospital for anorexics. It was terribly depressing for her to see the extents that the girls would go to in order *not* to eat. I noticed that "2 cups of self-control". If only that will power was committed to more positive avenues. |
