willhelm says: Please compare the class and presentation of these sites articles about their ideological opponent's Vice Presidential candidate. Just like we witness at Clipmarks, most progressives are children. The Liberalpedia boasts 100% truth, but it is probably only slightly more truthful than the opinion and assertions made here at Clipmarks. Incredible. But just what you'd expect, I guess. Exactly what I would expect. In fact, this really says all that needs to be said about the difference in the level of sophistication, mentality and disposition of those on each end of the political spectrum. I opened the Biden link first, and thought "that's a nice picture of him." Then paused and looked at the Palin link. Sigh. Seems mean-spirited. And that is just the photos, folks. The Conservapedia is ad-free. The Liberalpedia is loaded with obnoxious ads and videos. LOL! Unless you want to say that conservatives are a bunch of yahoos--a view I am unwilling to endorse--it seems to me quite unwise to use a single page from "Conservapedia" to represent conservative "sophistication, mentality, and disposition". Case in point: The Conservapedia entry on "Dinosaur" which devotes about twice as much space to young earth creationist beliefs that dinosaurs and humans coexisted as it does to the scientific evidence that dinosaurs died 65 million years ago. Or, back in January 2009, you could go on Conservapedia and find an entry that all but outright advocated assassinating Democratic Senators in states with R... What it says is that you cannot look at the equal presentation of a similar, yet opposing, concept or issue and accept the reality. Instead, you choose to propagandize about the differences and suggest one entry in a thousand seems to detract from the class and disposition of the Conservapedia as a whole when the clip is very clear. Just take these two entries at face value and leave out the propaganda for a change. Let's just look at the respect shown to the other side. You have been in this community for three years and continually barraged us with ant-semitism, hateful propaganda, dishonest sourcing, irrelevant facts while feigning esoteric superiority. Can you not for once accept at fa... you choose to propagandize about the differencesI did no such thing. I was merely pointing out the problem with your methodology. The fact is, there is tremendous variability amongst liberals and conservatives, which you apparently cannot acknowledge. It is you who choose to use a single, juvenile website as a cudgel to bash people you disagree with. --jklugman, the "semitic ant" The fact is, there is tremendous variability amongst liberals and conservatives, which you apparently cannot acknowledge. No, there really isn't. Now, between Libertarians and Progressive/Fascists? Sure. The methodology is simple. Each page is perhaps one of the most viewed pages at each site. Considering the subject, I think that is a likely assumption. It is simply about this and this alone...the respect and disposition toward the opposing view under equal terms. Simple. The Conservapedia presented Biden in a way that was in my view better and more thorough than Liberalpedia. Then Liberalpedia, which boasts 100% truth ( as if any place with 100% truth would need to say so... I read today where Panetta suggests that former VP Cheney is hoping for an attack on the US to prop up his recently spoken opinions!! Exactly what I would expect...given the times and current *public discourse* among political opposites. It is chic and intellectually superior to attack ones political opponents...all the while undermining the unity of America. The pseudo-intellectual vs. the common, thinking, middle-class mainstay of the US. Biden is a fool who utters foolishness and political-speak. Palin is a throw-back to our traditional values and is a reminder of what middle America is all about. Thus the attacks. |
