Then how did China ADD 1 million manufacturing jobs in the 4th quarter as we shed hundreds of thousands (more)? For every job lost in manufacturing in the US, China adds 2 to 3. Now they are adding them in technology and R&D for American companies. Lastly, China doesn't need us anymore. With nearly 2 billion people and growing, their middle class is already BIGGER than our entire population (350 million people). Their middle class grows every day, while ours has been steadily shrinking-as evidenced by the continuous reduction of average hourly wage (which includes health insurance btw) and number of non-government payrolls.
