I agree with dl211. Alcohol is missing from the list too.

recreational drug use is indeed widespread.adiction is common.people such as Elton John, Ringo Starr, and
many famous people are known to trancend or at least control their addictions by practicing spiritual principles.Religion,(Spritual Religion,NOT phony Religion)has been known to help many over-indulgers
either quit completely, or control their addictions.Non-
addicts are lucky- and indulge only once a month or 2 or 3 times a year. Commercial and military airline pilots had better not use drugs at all(maby) - or extremely infrequently.The Anti-depressant properties of Marijuana can prevent a suicide.The medical benifits of cannabis can help chemotherapy recipiants to suffer a lot less...

JMHO: I'd make some changes~~
solvents---the worst
cocaine---very, very bad news
ecstasy---you are never sure what's in it
amphetamines--sleep deprivation is disastrous
heroin--again you don't know what's in it
barbiturates/benzodiazepines---they have a medical use but are too easily abused and the worst withdrawal of all the others
opium----natural
cannabis---makes you fat and lazy-- used to be natural but now you don't always know what's in it.
~~~~~~~
remove the psychedelics from this list
replace with:
alcohol
tobacco
