Höhepunkt der Aktivitäten ist eine spektakuläre Kampagne, die die Verleihung des Friedensnobelpreises an den Antimilitaristen Ossietzky forderte und seine Rettung, aber auch zusätzliche Gefährdung bedeuten könnte. 1936 wird ihm der Preis vom norwegischen Komitee rückwirkend für das Jahr 1935 zugesprochen.
