Currently, we're training our soldiers to grapple. The fad for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/grappling has swept military combatives recently. Some active duty service-members think this is a bad idea. They think we are teaching our soldiers how to die rather than kill. People really don't know how fast a real street fight is. Bruce Lee in his movies moved so fast, that for the audience to appreciate what he did, the film had to be slowed down and he made his moves slower than he normally would in a real fight.
