WoW. What are we to make of these finds? There are several possibilities:I'm going with number 3. There is at least one other option. From talk.origins Fortunately in Forbidden Archeology by Michael That "white spongy center" is a real head-scratcher, hey? Peace.................. Very interesting clip. Great first clip. Welcome to Clipmarks smagnolia! That "white spongy center" is a real head-scratcher, hey?Ancient Twinkie? like your profile image..reminds me of a poster i had in my room in college.. welcome! this source is...less than stellar, i'd say. if it were national geographic or a major news site(cnn, abc, etc.) i'd take it a little more seriously. Major news site? Higdonius, with all due respect, I would consider THAT to be less than stellar. There is so much propaganda in the media - it makes my head spin. I think that's exactly why people come to the internet for information but just like anything, it needs to be filtered. Thanks for you insight. What's missing from this article is what kind of rock the spheres were found in. If the spheres were found in, say, post-volcanic rock, then it makes perfect sense that the spheres were made well within the timeline of homo sapien history and in billion year old rock. This is because, while the rock itself might be a billion years old, the spheres could have been trapped within it much more recently. Seriously, folks, this is not as amazing as it could be. And since we're all still somewhat reeling from the ridiculous crystal skull hoax, I don't think there's any real reason to "rethink" anything. And, apparently, you can't use forum html for italics. That's just low class, right there. @dAtkRaK: Yes you can but it's an automatic feature when you use the Text Editor in the comments. When you add a comment, you'll see a link to the Text Editor at the top right corner of your comment window. Click on it and you'll be able to use the quote, bold, underline, italics, links, etc for your comments before posting. The Clipmarks team has gone threough great strides with the help of their members to make this a very friendly user site. Oh, bookchick, I'd kiss you if we were physically proximate. I can't live without italics in forums. This is really something! Great first clip, welcome to clipmarks the ridiculous crystal skull hoaxWait....., WHAT?! Ive been involuntarily offline for a few(?) months now, (and live in an relatively media-free personal world the majority of the time) - so... ummm, ...apparantly i missed the outcome of these crystals skulls. It was all a fakery, a ruse ?!?! Im shocked and devastated !!! ummm, okay - so maybe not, but i am curious about what that was all about - does anyone have a good (concise) link, or clip (or even personal summation)? thanx, oh- and its nice to be back; online as well as browsing amongst such a good group of noggins and folk! Wikipedia has a summary (at least as of this date). "Research carried out on several crystal skulls by the British Museum in 1996 has shown that the indented lines marking the teeth (for this skull has no separate jawbone, unlike the Mitchell-Hedges skull) were carved using jeweler's equipment (rotary tools) developed in the 19th century, making a supposed pre-Columbian origin even more dubious. The type of (rather poor quality) crystal is Brazilian, and unknown within the Aztec or Maya territories. The study concluded that the skulls were crafted in the 19th century in Germany. A similar research carried out by the Smithsonian Institut... @smagnolia... Congrats!! POP, great 1st clip and wonderful comments! You will be one to watch... What if humans destroyed the earth in some way? Pyramids? Ah......................the old "what if"! Peace............ |
