C'mon conservatives - tell us these guys don't deserve health care. Tell us they can afford it. Tell us the free market will solve the problem.

When push comes to shove, the market screws the most vulnerable; the welfare of the corporation trumps the welfare of the people. Heroic exceptions notwithstanding, unfettered capitalism's only goal is profit; well-being of people is merely a disposable tool, used when it pays, cast aside when it doesn't.

It is not that we should become socialists. It is that unfettered capitalism and fascistic socialism are both extreme views, which, like extremes of all kinds, sacrifice people for dogma. We've got to figure out how to live in the middle.
