Soda? Pop? Coke?

I've always called it coke but in the past few years I've been referring to them as soda for some reason.

Obviously mixing with the wrong people and picking up bad habits.
It is Coke in Australia, lemonade, lemon, soda (is carbonated water), orange, Fanta, a danger to health, and so on.
Enough trivia for this week.

Coke is Coca Cola, a Pepsi is a Pepsi, everything else is a pop. If you ask for a pop or ask someone, you ask if they want a pop. You can then specify exactly what kind of pop you want. It can then be, coke, pepsi, cream soda, 7 Up, or whatever.

It's always been "soda" to me (unless I use the brand name). I've always been aware of the phrase "soda pop", but never use it.

Yeah, "soda pop" sounds like what the some old man would call it back in the 50's as he walked into a soda shop & ordered from the pimply faced boy in the paper hat & red & white striped shirt.

Beer. Nah, I'm kidding. My vote is with Coke.

I agree with Brimstone. Nice to have a clip without the religion or politics.

LOL

I got on a bit of a religion/politics kick for a bit. Still am but I also noticed that I didn't clip much else. I'll try to work on that.

Keep the people thinking but happy. JK LOL

Yep, coke for everything here. We also say Kleenex in place of tissues, and Q-Tips in place of cotton swabs.
