Yeshoshua Zettler was and is regarded by many Jews (inside and outside Israel) as a Jewish patriot.

Without the so-called 'Stern Gang' (otherwise known as 'Lehi'), the Irgun and their war against the British occupiers (who had reneged upon the obligations they had undertaken under the Mandate), it is doubtful whether the Jewish state would have been reborn in the land of our forefathers. These patriots did not deliberately target civilians. Their beef was with the British political administration, the military and the "Palestine" Police.
