pokkets says: "There is a mutual feeling that the Sept 16 shooting deaths, mean the company cannot continue in it's current role"US officials said. "No diplomats have died while riding in Blackwater's heavily armed convoys."(Surprise?) They are unlikely to be fired, but are likely to be reassigned-and kept on the payroll. Not really good enough, is it! They will be reassigned back in the US as George W. Bush's new secret service, all 200,000 of them while he is still dictator. Question is though, assuming they did act incorrectly then are they ever going to be "held to account" for their actions, or are all those dead civilians just more collateral damage. Raven took the thought right from me. That's apparently still to be decided. Some think they could be considered unlawful combatants under international agreements. I doubt though anyone will be held to account. Accountability doesn't seem to be in fashion lately. http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/101748A8-8FC0-404D-A3DD-C425FC3561B1 |
