The thing is that people who oppose curbs on the basis that CO2 "doesn't contribute significantly" to climate change don't realize is that whether it does or does not contribute doesn't mean that it's a good idea not to reduce emissions. That's like leaving the lid down on the toilet seat before using it.

Ecologists at the University of Chicago tracked the acidity of the Pacific off an island close to Washington state over the course of eight years.
