The critique is of us, not only of corporations. We have delegated responsibilities that ought to be non-delegable as a general rule (exceptions do but prove the rule). What Barry says about our delegation to corporations, however, is also true of our delegations to centralized government, a point with which I would not expect him to disagree. As such, these are equally a source of many cultural problems.
