I have my differences with Bush and his policies in many areas, but believe the man tries to act with honor and character. Let us give him as our President and Commander-in-Chief the benefit of the doubt in his personal life, short of tapes or photos substantiating such claims! Politics of personal destruction should be called what they are, and the slanderers called on it! A man who acts with honor and character does not endorse and promote the torture of fellow human beings, nor lie to those to whom he has sworn his solemn oath of service and duty. I do not endorse this particular flavor of Bush criticism, unless it can be shown to be absolutely true, and then not for the acts themselves, but rather for his hypocrisy in his posture not only in his denial of them, but in his outspoken judgments of those for whom such acts are natural expressions of love and affection. Those who say they can't believe this story and that this is a simple attack on Bush are flat out denying a trend that has been emerging for almost 7 years. As a believer myself in Jesus, I do not condemn Bush whether he is gay or not but what this trend is revealing is just exactly why this country is on the verge of collapse. My comment only speaks to individual choice and respect for the rights of speech. There is not one single person at Clipmarks that have had their freedom to speak violated. However, individuals choose by the nature of their bias, intolerance, and lack of value they hold for the freedom of speech what speech they choose to tolerate.
