sahara says: WTF?? be interesting how the straight talk express tries to spin that one! It will be interesting to see how all the right wing schmucks on clipmarks, who have willingly detached themselves from reality and who repeat the lies to their last breath that Iraq was never about oil, try to spin McCain's statements, which echo Alan Greenspan's statements. There are historical claims by Iraq for Kuwait as Kuwait never existed until the British created their own boundaries. The area now called Kuwait had existed as a greater part of the area now called Iraq. The fact that the Bush administration was criminally incompetent in their execution of post invasion strategy, if there ever was one, would be the reason for the Bush administration not improving the condition in regards to oil.
