The next day, American newspapers were reporting that Russia began the aggression. I'm just saying don't believe everything you hear from the American media. Brezenski and his family had suffered greatly under Soviet rule in Poland when he was a young man.The continued oppression that the Soviets inflicted on Poland over the years combined with his own personal suffering seemed to have created a pathological hatred of the Soviet system and the Russians in general. While understandable it clouds his judgement and produces a very aggressive anti-Russian slant to his hawkishness.
