Sigh.

When I see things like this, the inhumanity of others, the selfishness of others, the exploitation of those who should be trusted, a predatory human monster, I try to think of Matthew 18:23-34., even though it is difficult, I try not to flee from it's brutal lesson because it is so unpalatable.

We must defend our rights and the rights of those we love. We may not be able to blot out the memories of injustices that have been worked on us. This is a hard saying, but Jesus said it in one way or another many times over. This gives me solace.
